{"id":34132,"date":"2024-05-24T08:00:47","date_gmt":"2024-05-24T06:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asparagusworld.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=34132"},"modified":"2025-07-08T08:28:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T08:28:11","slug":"how-to-adapt-asparagus-production-to-machine-harvesting","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/befve.com\/es\/news\/how-to-adapt-asparagus-production-to-machine-harvesting\/","title":{"rendered":"Comment adapter la production d&#8217;asperges \u00e0 la r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canique"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>La demande mondiale en asperges est en hausse, mais les co\u00fbts \u00e9lev\u00e9s et la <strong>p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre<\/strong> freinent de nombreux producteurs et <strong>suscitent un int\u00e9r\u00eat croissant pour la m\u00e9canisation de la r\u00e9colte<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019un des principaux obstacles \u00e0 la m\u00e9canisation est que les <strong>cultivars actuels ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s pour la r\u00e9colte manuelle<\/strong>, avec des caract\u00e9ristiques qui <strong>ne se pr\u00eatent pas \u00e0 la cueillette m\u00e9canique<\/strong>.<br>Pour la r\u00e9colte manuelle, on privil\u00e9gie un <strong>haut rendement total<\/strong>, une <strong>excellente qualit\u00e9 de turion<\/strong>, une <strong>bonne \u00e9paisseur<\/strong> et une <strong>pr\u00e9cocit\u00e9 am\u00e9lior\u00e9e<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour la r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canique, les crit\u00e8res souhait\u00e9s sont tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00e9mergence uniforme des turions<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>meilleure compr\u00e9hension des facteurs d\u00e9clencheurs de <strong>la lev\u00e9e de dormance des bourgeons<\/strong> et de <strong>l\u2019\u00e9longation des turions<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bonne connaissance de la <strong>dominance apicale<\/strong> au sein des couronnes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>positionnement plus homog\u00e8ne<\/strong> des turions sur le rang,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>r\u00e9gulation de la croissance des turions,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>et meilleures donn\u00e9es sur le moment optimal pour <strong>arr\u00eater la r\u00e9colte<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans son article <em>\u00ab Asparagus breeding: Future research needs for sustainable production \u00bb<\/em> (Front. Plant Sci., 27 mars 2023), <strong>le professeur Daniel Drost<\/strong> (Universit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00c9tat de l\u2019Utah, d\u00e9partement des plantes, sols et climat) explique qu\u2019une meilleure compr\u00e9hension de ces aspects b\u00e9n\u00e9ficierait <strong>aux producteurs du monde entier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ce que l\u2019on peut apprendre de la m\u00e9canisation de la r\u00e9colte de la tomate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Drost rappelle que l\u2019histoire de la m\u00e9canisation de la r\u00e9colte des tomates <strong>illustre bien les enjeux pour l\u2019asperge<\/strong>.<br>Avant l\u2019arriv\u00e9e des machines, <strong>toutes les tomates \u00e9taient r\u00e9colt\u00e9es \u00e0 la main<\/strong>, et il \u00e9tait difficile d\u2019imaginer une r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canis\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les chercheurs ont compris que cela n\u00e9cessiterait <strong>de nouvelles vari\u00e9t\u00e9s de tomates<\/strong>, capables de :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>produire des fruits <strong>plus fermes<\/strong> pour r\u00e9sister \u00e0 la machine,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>concentrer <strong>la p\u00e9riode de maturation<\/strong> sur une courte dur\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Une premi\u00e8re avanc\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019introduction de la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 <strong>d\u00e9termin\u00e9e \u00abRed Top\u00bb<\/strong>, suivie par les lignes <strong>VF 145<\/strong>, les <strong>premi\u00e8res vari\u00e9t\u00e9s adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 la r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canique<\/strong>, qui ont ouvert la voie \u00e0 la m\u00e9canisation actuelle dans la fili\u00e8re tomate industrielle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignnone size-medium wp-image-34136\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asparagusworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/297709_document-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34136\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Daniel Drost<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019am\u00e9lioration des pommiers a renforc\u00e9 l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du travail<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le cas des <strong>vergers de pommiers<\/strong>, l\u2019objectif principal reste d\u2019obtenir des <strong>fruits de qualit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e avec une productivit\u00e9 maximale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour cela, on a s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>des <strong>porte-greffes nains<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>de <strong>nouvelles formes d\u2019arbre<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>et des techniques de <strong>taille et de conduite adapt\u00e9es<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Drost note que la <strong>densit\u00e9 de plantation<\/strong> a un <strong>impact plus fort que la forme de l\u2019arbre<\/strong> sur la qualit\u00e9, la croissance et l\u2019interception de la lumi\u00e8re.<br>La <strong>r\u00e9partition de la lumi\u00e8re<\/strong> dans le feuillage est plus importante que la quantit\u00e9 totale de lumi\u00e8re re\u00e7ue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Favoriser les <strong>dards (spurs)<\/strong> plut\u00f4t que les pousses v\u00e9g\u00e9tatives a significativement am\u00e9lior\u00e9 les performances.<br>Les arbres \u00e0 <strong>port lin\u00e9aire<\/strong> (type axe central) captent mieux la lumi\u00e8re, r\u00e9duisent le besoin en taille, <strong>optimisent la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre<\/strong> et <strong>diminuent les intrants<\/strong> (engrais, eau, produits phytosanitaires), tout en <strong>am\u00e9liorant la productivit\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moins de bourgeons pour une production simplifi\u00e9e sans perte de rendement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019image de la tomate ou de la pomme, <strong>les s\u00e9lectionneurs d\u2019asperges doivent identifier de nouveaux types de plante<\/strong>, notamment des <strong>architectures de couronne plus simples<\/strong>, <strong>adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 la r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canique<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Historiquement, l\u2019am\u00e9lioration g\u00e9n\u00e9tique de l\u2019asperge s\u2019est concentr\u00e9e sur :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>la <strong>productivit\u00e9<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>les <strong>lign\u00e9es m\u00e2les<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>la <strong>r\u00e9sistance aux maladies<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>le <strong>rendement \u00e9lev\u00e9 (couronnes massives, nombreux bourgeons)<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>et la <strong>qualit\u00e9 des turions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab Des plantes plus grosses donnent plus de rendement, mais de fa\u00e7on al\u00e9atoire. Cr\u00e9er des syst\u00e8mes plus simples (avec <strong>moins de bourgeons<\/strong>) et identifier d\u2019<strong>autres formes v\u00e9g\u00e9tales<\/strong> pourrait <strong>simplifier la production sans sacrifier les rendements<\/strong> \u00bb, affirme Drost.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Les vari\u00e9t\u00e9s actuelles pr\u00e9sentent des <strong>rhizomes tr\u00e8s ramifi\u00e9s<\/strong>, proches de la tomate ind\u00e9termin\u00e9e.<br>Elles poss\u00e8dent <strong>de nombreux groupes de bourgeons<\/strong>, ce qui offre un fort potentiel de rendement.<br>Mais la croissance se fait dans <strong>trop de directions<\/strong>, <strong>sans r\u00e9gularit\u00e9<\/strong> dans la lev\u00e9e des bourgeons, ce qui <strong>rend la r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canique inefficace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Il n\u2019existe actuellement <strong>aucun moyen de r\u00e9guler pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l\u2019\u00e9mergence des turions<\/strong>, ni de pr\u00e9dire <strong>quand et o\u00f9 ils sortiront<\/strong>. Ces types de plantes sont <strong>peu compatibles<\/strong> avec les machines, ce qui r\u00e9duit l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 et augmente les co\u00fbts de r\u00e9colte \u00bb, d\u00e9plore Drost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignnone size-medium wp-image-34137\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.asparagusworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/297710_document-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34137\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Daniel Drost<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Une dominance apicale plus forte : un atout pour la m\u00e9canisation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Id\u00e9alement, des asperges avec un <strong>port de croissance centralis\u00e9<\/strong>, <strong>moins de bourgeons secondaires<\/strong> ou une <strong>croissance dirig\u00e9e<\/strong>, faciliteraient une <strong>maturation concentr\u00e9e<\/strong> et permettraient <strong>de mieux pr\u00e9voir l\u2019emplacement des turions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des <strong>couronnes avec une forte dominance apicale<\/strong> pourraient <strong>inhiber l\u2019apparition de bourgeons secondaires<\/strong>, voire les supprimer.<br>Si l\u2019on parvenait \u00e0 <strong>identifier des rhizomes centralis\u00e9s<\/strong>, ils pourraient \u00eatre <strong>organis\u00e9s en rangs \u00e9troits<\/strong>, avec des <strong>positions de bourgeons d\u00e9finies<\/strong>, un peu comme les <strong>pommiers \u00e0 axe ou en fuseau<\/strong>, ce qui conviendrait \u00e0 la r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Cela ne r\u00e9sout pas encore la question de la r\u00e9gulation du moment d\u2019\u00e9mergence des turions, mais cela <strong>permet de contr\u00f4ler leur position dans le champ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec <strong>moins de bourgeons<\/strong>, il y aurait moins de turions par plante, mais ce <strong>d\u00e9ficit de rendement pourrait \u00eatre compens\u00e9<\/strong> par une <strong>densit\u00e9 de plantation plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab Les s\u00e9lectionneurs doivent aller <strong>au-del\u00e0 des crit\u00e8res classiques<\/strong> et <strong>chercher aussi des types atypiques<\/strong>, pouvant s\u2019int\u00e9grer dans des syst\u00e8mes de production non traditionnels \u00bb, recommande Drost.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tous les producteurs d\u2019asperges peuvent en b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>En r\u00e9sum\u00e9,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab Adapter les syst\u00e8mes de production de l\u2019asperge \u00e0 la r\u00e9colte m\u00e9canique n\u00e9cessite une <strong>meilleure compr\u00e9hension de la dominance apicale<\/strong>, des efforts pour <strong>synchroniser l\u2019\u00e9mergence des turions<\/strong>, et une <strong>s\u00e9lection vari\u00e9tale cibl\u00e9e pour la m\u00e9canisation<\/strong>. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab M\u00eame dans les grandes zones de production o\u00f9 la r\u00e9colte est encore manuelle, <strong>des changements dans l\u2019architecture de la plante pourraient am\u00e9liorer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9<\/strong> et <strong>r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts<\/strong>. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00ab Bien que l\u2019on connaisse beaucoup de choses sur la croissance de l\u2019asperge, <strong>davantage de recherches sur la r\u00e9gulation de l\u2019\u00e9longation des turions<\/strong> aideraient \u00e0 comprendre leur dynamique et leur calendrier. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une collaboration renforc\u00e9e entre <strong>s\u00e9lectionneurs<\/strong> et <strong>physiologistes<\/strong>, il serait possible d\u2019<strong>am\u00e9liorer la productivit\u00e9<\/strong>, d\u2019<strong>adapter l\u2019asperge \u00e0 la m\u00e9canisation<\/strong>, tout en <strong>maintenant le niveau de qualit\u00e9 et de rendement<\/strong> n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 un <strong>syst\u00e8me durable et rentable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">* Source:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/plant-science\/articles\/10.3389\/fpls.2023.1148312\/full\"> \u201cAsparagus breeding: Future research needs for sustainable production\u201d<\/a> by Prof. Daniel Drost (Front.
