UU. fue de 1,30 kg per c\u00e1pita el a\u00f1o pasado<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>El consumo de ar\u00e1ndanos en Estados Unidos mantiene una tendencia de crecimiento sostenido en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, impulsado por el aumento de la oferta y la consolidaci\u00f3n de nuevos or\u00edgenes en el mercado, seg\u00fan el an\u00e1lisis de Jos\u00e9 Antonio G\u00f3mez Baz\u00e1n, de Agro Value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de la irrupci\u00f3n de Per\u00fa como gran exportador en 2016, el mercado estadounidense registraba una limitada disponibilidad de ar\u00e1ndanos entre septiembre y diciembre, periodo en el que la oferta se reduc\u00eda a env\u00edos de Argentina y Uruguay, con un volumen conjunto cercano a las 15.000 toneladas. La entrada de Per\u00fa modific\u00f3 este escenario al incorporar alrededor de 300.000 toneladas en esa ventana, lo que supuso un cambio estructural en el suministro sin provocar un colapso del mercado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La evoluci\u00f3n del consumo refleja esta transformaci\u00f3n. En 2015, el mercado estadounidense absorb\u00eda unas 209.000 toneladas, con un consumo per c\u00e1pita de 721 gramos y un precio medio de 8,06 d\u00f3lares por kilo. Un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s, el volumen ascend\u00eda a 232.000 toneladas, con un consumo per c\u00e1pita de 803 gramos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El crecimiento se ha intensificado en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. En 2023, el consumo alcanz\u00f3 las 294.000 toneladas, con 1,22 kilos por persona, mientras que en 2024 se situ\u00f3 en 348.000 toneladas y 1,26 kilos per c\u00e1pita. La tendencia a largo plazo es a\u00fan m\u00e1s significativa si se compara con el a\u00f1o 2000, cuando el consumo apenas llegaba a 118 gramos por persona, frente a una estimaci\u00f3n de 1,30 kilos en 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En paralelo, la estructura del mercado ha evolucionado hacia una mayor dependencia de las importaciones, que ya representan la mayor parte del volumen consumido, frente a una producci\u00f3n local m\u00e1s estable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El papel de Per\u00fa tambi\u00e9n ha cambiado con el tiempo. Inicialmente, su oferta se beneficiaba de una ventana comercial con escasa competencia, lo que le permiti\u00f3 alcanzar precios superiores a la media. Sin embargo, a medida que el mercado se ha ido equilibrando y la oferta se ha ampliado, esa ventaja se ha reducido, situando al pa\u00eds como un proveedor m\u00e1s dentro del conjunto de or\u00edgenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De hecho, la convergencia de precios se hizo evidente a partir de 2020 y 2021, cuando los valores del ar\u00e1ndano peruano se alinearon pr\u00e1cticamente con la media del mercado estadounidense. Posteriormente, factores coyunturales han generado variaciones puntuales, como en 2022, cuando el aumento de la oferta presion\u00f3 los precios a la baja, o en 2023, cuando una menor producci\u00f3n vinculada a fen\u00f3menos clim\u00e1ticos y el avance en el recambio varietal impulsaron las cotizaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2024, los precios vuelven a mostrar una tendencia a la estabilizaci\u00f3n, con el ar\u00e1ndano peruano aproxim\u00e1ndose de nuevo a la media del mercado.
