Nationwide Produce have today announced the launch of their new premium British asparagus brand, ‘Spear It’. The asparagus are exclusively packed for Nationwide and available for purchase as of today at UK wholesale markets.

‘Spear It’ offers a premium wrapped graded British asparagus. Hand-harvested daily and grown within 5 miles of Nationwide’s Evesham facility in the Vale of Evesham, they will offer same day harvest and dispatch to ensure maximum freshness.

This season is running 4-5 days behind due a cold spell, but now volumes are good.

The asparagus is coming from heated tunnels at the moment, but in the next days open ground asparagus will be available. The asparagus season is always weather dependent, but Nationwide hope to run through to mid-end of June.
